So how about this...why not create a National Cerebral Palsy Convention that meets every year at a University or High School. The point of this conference would be to bring together the kids with CP of the world to share stories and ideas, have workshops on different aspects of CP, have famous people with CP serve as guest speakers and share their stories about how they persevered through life, and simply give kids with CP a chance to interact with kids who have the same disability as them. As a kid growing up with CP, I know what it's like to go through school without being able to interact with people who truly know what I'm going through. Let's change that by creating a Cerebral Palsy National Convention that convenes annually! New inventions and other stuff would help us individually, but this idea will help us unite as one and truly help each other.

I love this idea.

I know UCP holds conferences yearly, but this would be designed for the actual kids with CP instead of adults trying to help kids with CP.

This is a good idea. I think there needs to be more awareness for Cerebral Palsy. So people who don't know what it is will understand it moree. It is a condition, NOT a disease.

Great idea. Would be nice to ever others with same condition. Give each other feedback, share stories, have guest speakers, efc.

I think community building is incredibly important, so I think it's a great idea for kids with CP to meet together and talk about their experiences.

Pair this event with a worldwide run/walk to raise funds, and awareness for CP. Individuals could walk for a loved one and keep proceeds from sponsors/ pledges to fund therapy, equitment etc. OR walk in general and funds could be match by coporations to then fund research for CP and grants for those in need of financial support for CP people to help with therapies and items not covered by insurance.

There is not only "power" in numbers, but empowerment--terrific idea! It is so important that children have a venue to connect.

I think this is great idea being CP kid grow up it would been fun meeting more people like me and what I do to help my life or someone eles life better for example I didn't know about service dogs for CP people until few years ago if known earlier I would had a much happier school life

I totally agree. I am in Grade 11 and would love to meet people who are the same and can relate. Please pick this idea for Canada and the US!
