For individuals who need to use standers for physical therapy, our idea eliminates the painful and difficult transition from chair to stander.
This chair would act as both a wheelchair and stander in one. We think it would be beneficial if a chair could transform into a stander giving individuals the opportunity to work on weight bearing with their legs and motor coordination while improving their quality of life.
Our idea is to convert our chair into a stander through the use of a lever and added body supports.
